Reflecting on recent issues, it seems that if a person bought a car not out of nessecity but just because he/she feels like it that person might be regretting it now. Higher fuel prices, more ERP gantries, parking charges wherever you go blah blah blah…. These are the woes of those who spend their $$$ on cars not out of nessecity, does it justify?
Just as the famous quote from Spiderman “With great powers come great resposibility” does that also equate to “With more assets comes more burden?” to certain people it seems so. Even when the assest is bestowed upon you, you might have involuntarily become a driver by day and chauffer by night (after work), and mind you sometimes the title of chauffer comes with several other tags…. porter, maid, slave etc.
Why are our lives pressured by others? Do we have to live someone else’s life? Although the choice is ours are we living someone else’s expectations? As follower of the words of God we ought to know what is right and what is wrong, afterall the holy Spirit lives within us. But still doing the right thing at the right time may prove difficult although it sounds easy, afterall we are still human. But the thing to rejoice is God still send his only Son, Jesus 2000 years ago for our salvation knowing fully well who we are (Sinners). Everyday when i read this line “Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us” well i do feel guilty. Are we able to do that? If you can’t don’t fret…. one day you would be able to as long as we steer in the course our Lord have set for us. Afterall if there are no sinners there is no need for salvation and if everyone is perfect then perfect would be the norm. Somewhere, sometime later we would be there but for now know that all of us need God and his guidance and rejoice in the fact that HE is always around us.
